Shopify Sidekick
What is Shopify Sidekick?
Sidekick is the AI assistant built into your Shopify admin. Doran: Shoppable Videos connects to Sidekick, so you can ask questions about your videos, widgets, and analytics in plain language instead of clicking through multiple pages.
For example, type "Which videos are still in draft?" and Sidekick looks up your store's data and answers, with links that open the matching video or widget in Doran.
Sidekick can only read your Shoppable Videos data. It cannot create, edit, publish, or delete any video, widget, or setting. Any change still has to be made by you in the Doran admin.
What can Sidekick do?

How to use Sidekick
Open Sidekick
In your Shopify admin, open Sidekick from the top of the page.
Ask a question about your videos
Type your question in plain language. Mention Shoppable Videos or Doran if Sidekick doesn't pick the right app on its own.
Open the result in Doran
Sidekick returns a list of matching items. Click a link to jump straight to that video or widget in Doran, or choose View all shoppable videos / View all widgets to open the full list.

Good to know
- Short lists: Sidekick shows up to 8 matching videos or widgets at a time. Use more specific filters (name, status, tag, product) to narrow down results.
- Analytics need a paid plan: if your plan doesn't include video analytics, Sidekick will let you know and suggest upgrading your subscription.
- Your data only: Sidekick only sees the store you are currently signed in to.
Troubleshooting
Sidekick doesn't mention my videos. Make sure Doran: Shoppable Videos is installed on the store, then include "shoppable videos" or "Doran" in your question.
I'm asked to upgrade. Video analytics are not available on your current plan. Open the app's pricing page to upgrade, then ask again.
